Women’s Rights

Women’s rights refer to the legal, social, and economic entitlements and freedoms granted to women, advocating for equality between women and men in all aspects of life. This term encompasses a broad range of issues including, but not limited to, the right to vote, work, receive education, make reproductive choices, and live free from violence and discrimination. Women’s rights movements aim to address and dismantle systemic inequalities and to promote gender equity, ensuring that women have the same opportunities, protections, and privileges as men. The concept is rooted in the belief that all individuals, regardless of gender, deserve respect, dignity, and equal treatment under the law and in society.
